Below, I’ll be discussing its ingredient in detail so you can get a better idea if it is safe to drink it every day.

Caffeine in Celsius Energy Drink

Celsius Energy Drink has 200mg caffeine in one can serving, which is equivalent to two to three cups of regular coffee.

According to the FDA, the maximum limit of caffeine per day is 400g. This shows that 200mg caffeine of Celsius is a moderate amount – not too much, not too little.

Moreover, caffeine in Celsius’s energy drink comes from caffeine anhydrous. It is a highly concentrated and potent powder form of caffeine that can cause an overdose or a caffeine crash if taken in large amounts.

So, if you are not taking too much coffee or other caffeinated product in your daily diet, you will be okay with drinking one can of Celsius Energy Drink every day.

Sugar in Celsius Energy Drink

Celsius is a sugar-free energy drink that makes it safe to drink every day. That’s a relief.

However, it does contain 2 grams of carbohydrates which, if you don’t know, eventually will be broken down by the body as digestible sugar.

According to WebMD, the ‘total carbohydrate’ can be split into subcategories, which are:

  • Other carbohydrates (digestible carbohydrate that is NOT considered sugar)
  • Sugars (not present in Celsius)
  • Sugar alcohols (not present in Celsius)
  • Dietary fiber (non-digestible)

We are not sure which category the total carbohydrates in Celsius Energy Drink belong to but we can assume it breaks into other carbohydrates.

The artificial sweetener in Celsius Energy Drink

Celsius doesn’t have sugar, but it contains an artificial sweetener, sucralose, which is much sweeter than regular sugar.

Sucralose is FDA-approved. However, it is not 100% healthy. Many studies show that overconsumption of artificial sweeteners can cause many health issues, such as glucose intolerance.

As long as you consume this sweetener in moderation, you will be okay.

Vitamins and minerals

Vitamins and minerals are essential for your body’s needs. They are responsible for healing wounds and improving your immune system.

Celsius has been fortified with many vitamins and minerals, including B(B2, B3, B5, B6< B7, B12), vitamins C, chromium, calcium, and sodium.

What is MetaPlus Proprietary Blend in the Celsius Energy Drink?

Celsius’s MetaPlus Proprietary Blend is made of:

  • Taurine
  • Caffeine anhydrous
  • Guarana extract
  • Ginger extract
  • Green tea leaf extract
  • Glucuronolactone

Taurine is an amino acid that enhances reaction time, reduces caffeine withdrawal, and improves orienting attention when coupled with glucose.

Guarana seed extracts have potent antimicrobial and antioxidant properties suitable for your body.

Ginger extract is known for thermogenesis which helps the body to burn fat.

Have a look at this video to see what other benefits ginger extract has for us:

Epigallocatechin gallate is a compound found in green tea, potentially acting as an antioxidant and averts cellular damage. Also, if it is coupled with caffeine it can help with weight loss.

Looking at all these benefits of the ingredients,  I can say that Celsius is a much better option than many famous energy drinks available in the market.

Can you have Celsius every day?

You can have a Celsius energy drink every day but not exceed one serving a day.

One serving of Celsius Energy Drink is stuffed with 200 mg to 300 mg caffeine, 10 to 15 calories, vitamins, and minerals.

You will get 200 mg caffeine by drinking one can daily. This might be a reasonable amount for some people, but not everyone can handle such a high amount of caffeine daily.

Even though, it is still stated on a can of Celsius’ nutrition label that: DO NOT exceed (2) servings a day.

I would not recommend it because, in the long run, such a high amount of caffeine (400mg-500mg) can pose severe dangers to your health, such as:

  • Insomnia
  • Shakiness
  • Nausea
  • Headaches
  • Dysphoria
  • Anxiousness
  • Increased Heart Rate
  • Stomachaches

One Celsius energy drink per day is safe to consume unless you have underlying health issues.

How much Celsius can you have in a day?

You can have no more than one serving of Celsius energy drink in a day.

With its 200mg of caffeine in a can, you will be under the safe daily limit of 400mg of caffeine recommended by the FDA. However, not everyone reacts the same to caffeine so take it only to how much you can handle without feeling jittery. You might land in trouble if you go beyond just one can.

Is Celsius Energy Drink Bad for You?

Celsius is not bad for you if you consume it in moderation.

Addiction may lead to severe harm either to your physical or mental health. Energy drinks, in general, are not meant to be consumed daily but energy drinks might do you some good in a sensible amount, especially sugar-free ones like Celsius.

Honestly, it depends on the person as well. If you have a bad experience with drinking energy drinks daily, it is high time you start limiting your daily intake.

Wrapping Up

Celsius is high in caffeine, and different people react differently to caffeine content. Aside from high caffeine, Celsius carries more beneficial and natural ingredients than other high-end brands.

You can drink Celsius energy every day, but only if you don’t have any underlying health issues. Children and nursing women should stay away from Celsius or any energy drink in general.

Energy drink, in general, is not healthy, and drinking large amounts can lead to diabetes, tooth decay, acute liver injury, and cardiovascular-related diseases.

Moderation is the key! If you drink Celsius in a moderate amount you will be okay.
